Besides root canal procedures, apicoectomies, and dental implants, Dr. Reeh also performs other specialized services here in our state-of-the-art facility. Our Stillwater perio services can help keep your mouth healthy and your smile full. Here are a few advantages of having your procedure performed here:

Treating Periodontal Problems That Are Associated with Endodontics
So, I am not a periodontist. We don't do cleanings and scaling and all that sort of stuff. We do periodontal procedures associated with endodontic issues. So, there may be a tooth that is periodontally involved in one of the roots, and so there may be a surgical procedure to eliminate that problem, that issue. Gum surgeries are also sometimes related to being able to preserve the tooth. So, we might need to do something like crown lengthening, a periodontal procedure but it may be tied to an endodontic procedure so we can get those aspects of your care done. It's kind of nice because then you're not ending up seeing multiple specialists in the process here. Your dentist can work with me to take care of the endodontic side of things, the periodontal issues associated with an endodontic problem, and you can return to your dentist then to continue your care without having to run to multiple places and your dentist having to coordinate multiple specialists.

Perio Treatment Can Stop Your Tooth Pain
Sometimes a root canal procedure simply isn’t enough to bring health and healing back to your mouth. In these cases, it may be necessary to perform a root amputation, or root resection, of the diseased tooth. You may be a good candidate for this periodontal procedure if the infection in your tooth is confined to just one of the roots.
We can save most of the tooth by removing the diseased root and keeping the rest of the tooth intact. Your dentist can then cap the tooth with a crown or filling to help prevent further problems. The advantage of this procedure is that you still have your original tooth, and you won’t need to worry about losing any more bone or having your teeth shift, which can happen when you lose a tooth.
A tooth in the upper arch of your mouth may require a root amputation, while a tooth in the lower arch of your mouth may require a hemisection. We will let you know if this is a good option for you and your smile.
We can work with your regular dentist so they know exactly what kind of restoration your repaired tooth needs. When your treatment is complete, you’ll have restored biting and chewing capacity, plus you’ll be out of pain.
