Dr. Ernest Reeh has dedicated his career to providing expert endodontic care with a focus on precision, patient comfort, and education. His ability to explain complex dental procedures in a way that patients understand helps ease anxiety and allows for informed decision-making.
From a young age, Dr. Reeh had a natural talent for working with his hands, whether he was building model boats, repairing watches, or crafting woodwork. This skill, combined with his interest in science and problem-solving, led him to pursue a career in dentistry. Today, he is a board-certified endodontist with over 30 years of experience in root canal therapy, endodontic surgery, and dental implants.
An Extensive Background in Endodontics
Dr. Reeh’s dedication to clinical excellence and research is reflected in his educational journey. After earning a Chemistry degree from the University of Calgary, he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Alberta, receiving the prestigious James McCutcheon Honor Award.He then specialized in endodontics at the University of Minnesota, earning a Master’s in Material Science and a Doctorate in Biophysics with a minor in Engineering. His nationally recognized research earned a top award at an endodontic meeting.
While teaching at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Reeh practiced privately, conducted research, and developed two patented dental technologies. Ultimately, his passion for patient care led him to focus exclusively on private practice, where he continues to refine his gentle, patient-centered approach.

Dr. Reeh is highly regarded in the dental community, earning multiple awards and professional accolades, including:

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Reeh is actively involved in his community, including serving as an adult leader in Boy Scout Troop 9132.

Dr. Reeh understands that endodontic procedures can be intimidating, so he prioritizes patient comfort with humor, clear explanations, and meticulous care—even drawing upside-down illustrations to engage patients.Known as “Canal Man” for his precision in finding and treating hidden canals, he’s respected for his fine motor skills and diagnostic expertise. For him, the greatest reward is seeing patients relieved and surprised at how easy their treatment was.

Life Outside the Office
When he's not performing endodontic treatments, Dr. Reeh enjoys woodworking, tinkering with his hobby car, and gardening. His passion for hands-on craftsmanship extends beyond dentistry, as he finds relaxation in building, fixing, and creating with the same precision he brings to patient care.
